DIY - I Heart You Escort - Wishing Tree Cards

Congrats to Merci and Matt! They were married at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. I can't wait to post additional photos from photographer Mellisa Prosser and decor by the talented Ciao Bella.

No wedding is complete without Gail's magic touch. I did want to share my DIY projects for this wedding - wishing tree hearts w/black ribbons and I Love You buttons that were attached to paper escort cards created by Paper Daisies.  The bride's wedding colors were black, white and red. The final result of my DIY projects  - two thumbs up!

Congrats to the happy couple!

Not the best pix, button included names of bride and groom

Heart shape escort cards I created were hung on the wishing tree & button escort cards displayed below the tree

My Weekend DIY Project - Vintage Silver Tray

How did I spend my weekend? Something that I love most - DIY. I have a ton of vintage silver including trays, teapots and more....So, I decided to add life to one of my old, very heavy silver trays. After, a light sanding and wipe down, I used Rust-olem Metallic Paint & Primer in One paint in Champagne Mist.

I have several upcoming events and I'm sure that I can find a good home for this item - escort card, dessert tray or maybe it will find a place on the bathroom vanity. The possibilities are endless.

Always, Gail

This is the before, old rusty pieces

Second step - painting the legs and underside

The color is perfect!!!

Its all about the details

Now, on to the second coat
