Occasions Magazine Holiday Party

Heather Vreeland, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Occasions magazine hosted a holiday party at the Atlanta Event Center at Opera with cocktails, photo booths and dancing. The venue was dressed out by some of Atlanta finest Wedding and Party Professionals. We enjoyed a dinner menu of salad, rosemary, coriander tenderloin, roasted root vegetable, braised brussels sprout with balsamic cider glace and decadent dessert - ginger snap banana budding with bourbon cream - yummy! This was a great way to kick off the holiday season.

The Earthly Paradise wedding collection was introduced at New York Bridal week by famed designer Claire Pettibone. She is known for her effortlessly bohemian style and free flowing garments. The items are soft, stylish and oh so dreamy.  Check out the back view of these gowns, I've always been told that every bride should look stunning from any directions whether front or back.

Just Golden - Gold Flatware

Is it just me or do I seeing a fab new trend - gold flatware. Yes, it is everywhere including magazines, blogs and stores. So glad to have options and this is one option that I like. The look is high-style with a touch of class to take your table from drab to fab. I haven't seen any gold flatware at local rental companies, but I'm sure we will soon.

Date with Design Star - Hilari Younger

I am a design junkie and the unofficial President of Hilari Younger's fan club. I have been watching HGTV Design Star since Season One. But, this year, the talent was turned up a notch when Ms. Hilari hit the show. Her eye for design is like the air she breathes - natural.  You can learn design elements in school but true design is something that comes from within your soul. Hilari recently arrived in Atlanta for a promotional event and we spent the evening laughing, eating and talking shop.  I'm still looking for my camera and will post pix of me and my Design Star BFF soon.
