Venue Spotlight - Cake & Ale Decatur
Cake & Ale is definitely a hidden gem especially for those who live outside of downtown Decatur. One thing that I love about having my studio in Decatur is the variety of amazing restaurants and cuisine. I had the opportunity to visit and get a grand tour of this space(s) by one of the owners. Even though I have been to Cake & Ale several times, I never knew they rented out either one of the spaces (restaurant or bakery) for baby showers, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and more. And, I totally enjoyed my squash quiche with garden salad and made from scratch carrot cake after the tour. When you get a chance, please make sure you check out this venue when you are in Decatur - where it is Greater.

New Venue Alert - Villa Christina Hyatt
I'm always excited when a new wedding venue opens in Atlanta. I have out of state clients who booked the Hyatt at Villa Christina last year after they broke ground. My couple hasn't seen the venue yet so I stopped by last weekend for a tour before opening day tomorrow. The official party will be in a couple of weeks. I email my couples who were overjoyed with the pictures. Here are few for you to enjoy too!

Ringling Brothers Museum
After spending a few weeks in Sarasota, Florida I had to make time to visit the The Ringling Museum. I've seen so many beautiful wedding pictures at this majestic home. The home took two years to build. And, behold I stumbled upon a wedding setup - oh happy day! If you are ever in the area or want to plan a destination wedding, look no further. For more information, check out the website.

High Roller Wedding
Looking for a unique, thrilling wedding location? Well, well, well - look no further than "High Roller" attraction billed as the world's tallest observation wheel in Las Vegas. Wow, this even scares me lol! But, if anyone is interested in getting hitched on the "High Roller" call me!

Small Weddings - Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel
I have to say that my favorite weddings are small and intimate affairs (50-75 guests). I've even heard of a wedding for two (bride and groom). My wedding consisted of 50 guests because that was the max number for the Ida Cason wedding chapel at Callaway Gardens, but it also allowed us to invite our closest friends and family to be a part of this special day. We were able to save money and pay cash for our wedding. There was even money leftover for our honeymoon. Yes, I've seen couples who didn't have any money left to go on a honeymoon after the wedding. So think twice about that guest list, cutting the list is the easiest way to save money - bigger is not always better.

If you are looking for fresh, new and exciting venue for a wedding or event make sure you check out Westside Cultural Arts Center. The space is AMAZING! Check out the art and that stylish designed bar - oh my! It is a blank canvas waiting to be transformed - can't wait to host another event.

Hyatt Hotel at Villa Christina
It is always exciting when a new venue opens in Atlanta. I can't wait to send Mary and Bryan down the aisle next year and view the venue once it is completed. Located in the Perimeter area next to Villa Christina, this venue will be a great additional to the Atlanta market. The venue will include an outdoor pool and nature walk within a few miles of Perimeter Mall and Perimeter Place shopping. Check out the Hyatt's website for updates.
