OMG Vera Wang is on FIRE! Vera Wang's fall collections doesn't disappoint. A fall trend includes major ruffles, texture, layering and don't forget a touch of lace. These dresses are dreamy!  The ball gown has been redefined and we love it!

George Lucas Weds Mellody Hobson

Ohhh, how I love this couple! I've been looking all over the Internet for pictures of the wedding but apparently this is the only picture released to the public. I will keep a close eye out for more pixs of their wedding, which was held at their Skywalker Ranch. I'm a little surprise that Mellody picked a very traditional dress but it looked stunning on her petite frame. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. George Lucas!

Kim K's Baby Shower

Congrats to the new parents Kim & Kanye! There are a few things that make my heart melt - baby showers and little girls. When I saw Kim's K music box baby shower invite with a ballerina spinning on top, my heart sang. What an ingenious idea? They say the invitations sets the tone for the party. Guests were asked to wear Garden Attire to the laid back baby soiree. How adorable are those floral head crowns?  This the way you plan a fab baby shower because its all about the details!

Natural Scrubs - Salt vs Sugar

I've been experimenting with creating my own of scrubs with essential oils and vitamin e. Scrubs are very easy to make with little cost. There are tons of natural recipes on-line DIY if you want to make your own. I'm still struggling with salt vs sugar? Personally, I do prefer salt scrubs because I like the consistency of the batter for exfoliation. Here is one of my favorite hot salt scrubs is Philosophy Senorita Margarita (the smell is lovely) found locally at Sephora.

Blogger Event - Blogger is the New Entrepreneur

I had a great time at Talking with Tami's Blogger Event - "Blogger is the New Entrepreneur" (so true!) I'm still going through all of my notes and finding new ways to take my blog to the next level. I have also added several books to my reading list - $100 Start up and Laptop Millionaire. We dined at Nancy's Pizza in Buckhead while listening to words of wisdom from Talking withTami and guest speakers, Quad from reality show Married to Medicine and designer Reco Chapple from House of Chapple. Former Xcape member LaTocha Scott from reality show R&B Divas was also in the house. You are never too old to learn!

Wedding Cake to Go!

Wedding cake to go. Oh how I love this idea from Cacee Cobb and Donald Faison's wedding. The couple created individual wedding cakes in jars that also served as escort cards. I have always said that edible favors are the best kind of favor. At the end of the night, if there is left over cake it is always difficult to bag or box, so this no mess solution is wonderful!

Pearl accessories such as a statement necklace, bracelet or headband can transform any woman from blah to wow.  A little known fact - the world's most expensive gown made in the 1950s was made with rare cultured pearls that took 15 years to collect and eight dressmakers two months to complete at a cost of $100,000. Wow!
