Love notes on the wedding day!

There is something very sweet about receiving a love note from your spouse to be on the day of the wedding. I've seen tears and laughter when the bride and groom read their cards before they head done the aisle. Here's one of my favorite cards found on etsy.

Postal Tips for the Modern Bride

The options for postage have come a long way. The post office offers a limited number of stamps (see below), but websites such as Zazzles offers a wider variety of custom stamps.  I have a few pointers:

1. Always weigh your envelopes before you mail them
2. Don't forget to put a stamp on the RSVP cards
3. Always, always ask the post office to hand stamp your envelopes so you don't damage your custom stamps or smear the ink

Wedding RSVPS 5 Tips for Success

Who knew there were so many options for guests to RSVP via response cards. Check out these examples from Hello Lucky.  Here are a few ideas that I've seen that work well?

1. Create a guest list in Excel/Numbers and number the backs of the cards so they correspond with your list. If a card is returned with no name, this is an easy way to figure out who replied
2. Write in the number of guests invited (example 2 invited) so guests clearly understand two people have reserved seats (see example below to help manage headcount)
3. Give yourself enough time to call guests who haven't responded
4. Offer your guests a second option such as on-line RSVP'ing via your wedding website
5. Tally, tally, tally

Vow Renewal - The Story of Us

I came across this stationery on Paper and Home. There is something about a vow renewal that melts my heart. The renewal isn't about starting over, but more about celebrating the years as husband and wife. I did a vow renewal at 15 years because it was a milestone that I wanted to document. It was such a special day that was intimate family moment. The stationery below says it all "the best is yet to come".

Gold Foil Invite - Don't Call it a Comeback

Yes, that's right - they're back but don't call it a comeback! I am seeing an increase interest in letterpress invites with gold fold that is pressed into the paper for a 24 carat shine by my clients. Not only are they elegant and sophisticated, but timeless. Check out this stationery suite by Lucky Luxe Couture called Orleans. Swoon!
